![
Lollipop Chainsaw:Review [X360]
Hack and slash games are well known for their button mashing awesomeness and those precise combos. The genre has been pioneered by the likes of Devil May Cry and the recent Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. Now we have a new hack and slash that sounds somewhat quirky and is weird in a broad sense. It goes by the name Lollipop Chainsaw and it features a sexy female protagonist going on a hunting spree of zombies and as the name suggests carries a chainsaw to pursue this blood feud along with rock music and colourful rainbows. The debut trailer of this game was vibrant and vulgar yet it seemed to draw a lot of attention to the masses. Can Lollipop Chainsaw make an impression on gamers, read on for an in-depth review. Graphics Now the game runs on the Game developer favourite “Unreal Engine 3” that is used in many games, the graphics are colourful and feel as if they were borrowed from pages of a graphic novel. The game has bright and vibrant effects and the extravagant pops when you knock a zombie off his feet or when you charge towards a zombie with your chainsaw looks awesome, in a perspective who wouldn’t want to see a sexy cheerleader killing zombies, now the game may look good from a distance but the game suffers from serious polish issues like bland animations and clunky movement. It’s as if the developers focused their attention on one character they forgot to take care of the atmosphere of the game. There is too much blood in the game mixed with the colour of rainbows giving a sort of weird mix, now the game tries to stand out but it sadly does a fair job at this. The overall graphics are average if you can manage the excessive vulgarity and painful violence and somehow play through the game. Gameplay On paper, the game is a hack and slash, the game plays fairly decent and you have to move around use the chainsaw to decapitate a few zombies see blood splashes here and there and move on to another generic environment not to say that any fun isn’t to be had, it’s fun and entertaining but don’t expect it to have any meaningful outcome because it’s just isn’t very conclusive. The story starts off with Juliet Starling’s eighteenth birthday; she goes to San Romero High School park to meet her boyfriend, Nick Carlyle who is going to meet her family for the first time. A zombie outbreak occurs which results in Juliet fighting off hordes of Undead on her way. When she arrives, she discovers Nick fighting off a zombie who was trying to eat her, and so Nick is bitten in her place. Realizing he will become a zombie, Juliet decides she must decapitate him to save him and this unfortunate turn of events leads to Juliet going on a rampage to slay every last remaining zombie. This is perhaps the only part...

http://thegameministry.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/fet1-80x65.jpg](http://thegameministry.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/fet1-630x344.jpg)
